Multi-Dimensional Approach To Healing

  • Diane Renz, M.A.,L.P.C., founder of Present-Centered PsychotherapyTM and Cancer as a Gateway, TM  is a Licensed Psychotherapist in Private Practice providing Individual, Couples, and Group psychotherapy throughout Boulder, Denver, and the surrounding area. She is the developer of Healing Beyond Cancer, a 6-week workshop, offered both locally and nationwide, incorporating somatic mindfulness techniques toward healing and integration of meaning within catastrophic loss and illness.

 

 

  • Her education and training includes: Masters in Transpersonal Psychology, B.A. Contemplative Psychology, A.A. Social Work. Extensive Post Graduate Studies in Somatic Psychology with emphasis in Trauma Resolution, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Certification in Somatic Archaeology, and Level II trained EMDR.

 

 

  • Additional studies include: Hospice training end of life and Bereavement counseling, and Mindfulness training for Stress Reduction with Jon Kabat Zinn and Thich Nhat Hanh.  She works with a variety of psychological suffering with a focus on Trauma and Catastrophic illness.

 

 

  • She views healing as multidimensional: taking into account all aspects of an individual’s experience including Mind, Body, Emotion, Spirit, Cultural Environment, Nature, and any other area of life and living that impacts and informs the health of that individual’s total system. "Illness is caused by stagnation, healing comes in movement--Movement of Sensations, Images, Thoughts, Emotions, giving way to a larger perspective that includes the personal and the Spiritual." She is affiliated with Hospice of Boulder County and Access Counseling.
